Tours
The ISM is open to visits organized by universities, schools, churches and other interested groups. All tours and visits must be pre-arranged with the respective ISM location. Visits to the ISM can usually be accommodated on most days of the week except Fridays. Friday afternoon visits are extremely difficult to accommodate due to conflicts with our main congregational prayer services.

Doors Open Milwaukee
Doors Open Milwaukee is a citywide “open house” program operated by Historic Milwaukee, Inc. Historic Milwaukee, Inc. has been dedicated to increasing awareness of and commitment to Milwaukee’s history and architecture through education and advocacy since 1974.

ISM is pleased to have participated in Doors Open Milwaukee since 2013, and the ISM has every intention to do so every year henceforth.
Prayer Hall
During a tour of an Islamic Center, you will have the opportunity to visit the prayer hall. The Muslim prayer hall is a large carpeted area that has no pews. Muslim prayers are performed directly on the carpeted floor, and the prayer includes prostrations on the floor. Because of this fact, the carpet must always remain clean. Prior to entering the carpeted area, all shoes need to be removed and placed on shoe racks outside of the prayer hall. For those who may have difficulty removing their shoes, please let us know in advance so that we can provide you with shoe covers.
Attire
All guests are requested to dress modestly, in attire appropriate for a house of worship. We kindly request no shorts, above the knee skirts, revealing blouses or other revealing attire, clothing with inappropriate messages, etc. Women who are visiting are not required to cover their hair, although they may choose to do so.
